CIS observers monitor Azerbaijan’s polling station no. 1 opening in Baku

On September 1 at 08:00, a press statement was made during the opening of polling station No. 1 in Baku, with the participation of Andrey Yatskin, the coordinator of the international observer group from the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS).

First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

The voting process is conducted in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Election Code, and other legislative acts. Polling stations are fully equipped, and a list of voters has been compiled. Eligible citizens who are 18 years of age or older and possess a valid passport or ID card of the Republic of Azerbaijan are casting their votes at the polling stations.

There are no obstacles preventing voters from expressing their will freely.

Andrey Yatskin, Coordinator of the international observer group of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and First Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Kobitsky, Secretary General of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly monitored the polling station No. 1 of the Constituency No. 17 in Baku, located at secondary school No. 60 named after Pasha Nazarov.
