Sarybay: Caspian states participate in fight against climate change and share experience

The world community must collectively solve the problems of climate change, and the CICA countries, which have extensive experience in combating climate change, can become active participants in the process, CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay said, answering a question from Report, during a briefing at the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Report informs.

He also noted that to combat the consequences of climate change, an integrated approach and joint efforts of world leaders are needed.

Speaking about this problem at the regional level, in the countries of the Caspian basin, Sarybay emphasized the countries’ commitment to cooperation in this matter.

“All five Caspian states are members of the CICA and actively participate in joint events, sharing experience with each other,” he added.

Sarybay noted that there is experience in planning logistics hubs so that they do not cause damage to the environment.
