Moscow, Baku ink several docs at Russian-Azerbaijani forum

On the sidelines of the XII Russian-Azerbaijani interregional forum in Mineralnye Vody (Stavropol Krai, Russia), a number of bilateral documents (memoranda and agreements on investment cooperation) have been signed, Report informs referring to TASS.

 

The signing ceremony was held with the participation of deputy prime ministers of the two countries Shahin Mustafayev and Alexey Overchuk following the plenary meeting.

 

Among the documents, agreements were signed between the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Stavropol Krai”, JSC “Kavkaz.RF” and the Azerbaijan Small and Medium Business Development Agency, “On cooperation between the government of the Astrakhan region and the executive power Narimanov district of Baku” and “On cooperation between the Azerbaijan-Russian Business Council and the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Stavropol Krai,” memoranda “On intentions to implement an investment project on the construction of a greenhouse complex for the manufacture of vegetable products”, “On intentions to implement an investment project to create sanatorium and hotel complex for 400 places”, “On intentions to implement the investment project for the construction of the Rusel sanatorium.”

 

Interregional forums between Russia and Azerbaijan, organized on the initiative of the heads of the two states, have been held since 2009 and help to establish new connections between the regions of the two countries and discuss joint promising projects. The first forum took place in Baku, and in different years the event was also hosted by the Russian cities of Astrakhan, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg and Azerbaijan’s Gabala. The 11th forum was held in Baku. As a result, several bilateral documents were signed.
