For the first time, elections in Azerbaijan were held under conditions of complete restoration of sovereignty, which in turn inspired citizens to actively participate in voting, the head of the delegation of observers from the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Aidos Sarym, said at a press conference following the monitoring of the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

He noted that mandatory voting procedures were strictly observed at all polling stations. “The observers with whom I managed to talk did not record any violations,” Sarym emphasized.

“I personally witnessed that there were long queues at almost all polling stations, that is, the population participated in the elections with great enthusiasm. I believe that the citizens of Azerbaijan understood the historic significance and importance of these elections,” he said.
