In his Christmas message Pope Francis expressed his hope for a speedy peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“May Armenia and Azerbaijan draw closer to a definitive peace, he prayed, especially through humanitarian outreach and the return of refugees to their homes in security and with respect for religious traditions and places of worship.” Pope noted, Vatican News reports.
Pope Francis spoke out against war and arms production and called for peace in the Middle East and South Caucasus.
