Azerbaijan, Brunei discuss prospects for development of bilateral relations

As part of his visit to Brunei, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the country and Malaysia Irfan Davudov has met with a number of officials to discuss prospects for development of bilateral relations.

 

Ambassador Irfan Davudov held meetings with Chairman of the Legislative Council (Parliament) of Brunei Pehin Dato Abdul Rahman Taib, Minister of Finance and Economy Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah, Foreign Minister’s permanent secretary Pengiran Norhashimah binti Pengiran Mohd Hassan, President of National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Haji Abdul Salman and the Head of Accounting and Finance Operations Department of Brunei Investment Agency Kamal Ahmad.

 

During the meetings, the ambassador noted that Azerbaijan had regained its sovereignty by legitimate means within the norms and principles of international law as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War and the anti-terrorist measures carried out in September of this year.

 

The meetings also featured discussions on investment opportunities in Azerbaijan, participation of Bruneian companies in the ongoing restoration and reconstruction works in the liberated territories.
