The decisions that will be made at the CSTO summit in Minsk are absolutely legitimate, despite the absence of Armenia, Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Aleynik told reporters,XQ  informs via Belarusian media.

"That’s absolutely right, they (decisions within the CSTO) are made by consensus, and I had a telephone conversation with my Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan. We discussed, among other things, these issues and decision-making mechanisms," the Belarusian minister explained.

According to the rules of the organization, decisions are made with the consent of all parties. Therefore, according to Aleynik, after the summit, CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov will visit Yerevan. All decisions will be transferred to the Armenian partners. Minsk hopes that they will join them.

According to Aleinik, it is necessary to be calm about the non-participation of the Armenian side. He noted that this is not the last CSTO summit, and it is important that the organization works.

Representatives from Yerevan did not participate in the November 22 meeting of the CSTO. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also decided not to attend the summit on November 23.
