Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with
Speaker of the House of Councillors of the Kingdom of Morocco Naam Miyara as part of his official visit to the country.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Morocco on bilateral and multilateral platforms, including the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), as well as regional and international issues.
The sides hailed bilateral political relations, as well as the mutual support of the two countries within the framework of international organizations.
The parties expressed their confidence that inter-parliamentary cooperation based on respect and trust would contribute to the development of relations between the two countries, and, in this regard, stressed the importance of the exchange of high-level reciprocal visits.
They noted that the development of bilateral legislative framework and the agreements signed between the two countries in energy, logistics, environment, and other areas during the visit would make a positive contribution to bilateral relations.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided detailed information about Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani territories for many years, as well as the situation in the region during the post-conflict period.
The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest at the meeting.
