Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has criticized the double standards towards Azerbaijan as she met with President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Pia Kauma, who is on a visit to the country.

Pointing out that Azerbaijan is the main interested party in ensuring a safe and stable future for the South Caucasus, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova added that Azerbaijan is committed to the advancement of the peace agenda in the region.

The speaker noted with regret that instead of working for peace, Armenia is still trying to confuse the international community with its false and groundless accusations against Azerbaijan.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova mentioned that Armenia continues to seize every opportunity and platforms for its smear campaign against Azerbaijan, underlining with regret that these lies of Armenia are supported by some international organizations. “In this context, OSCE PA events should not become a platform for spreading false propaganda of Armenia,” Sahiba Gafarova underscored.
