Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met Saturday with visiting Germany’s Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock and her accompanying delegation.
Discussions mostly revolved around the issues of cooperation agenda between the two countries as well as regional and international security matters.
The two discussed existing post-conflict situation, ongoing reconstruction work in the de-occupied lands, landmine threats, process of normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations and peace process.
Bayramov noted that anti-terror measures take in the Karabakh region on September 19-20 targeted the threats posed by illegal Armenian armed forces.
According to him, the missions of international organizations confirmed that there had not been any facts of violence against civilians and the propaganda of impossible co-existence of Azerbaijanis and Armenians is the main reason why the Armenian residents left the territory. He underlined that the Armenian residents had not been informed about the results of the meeting between representatives of the Azerbaijani Government and local Armenians. The main responsibility for the outflow of the Armenian residents lies with Armenia, which made its instable statements.
Bayramov expressed regret over unfair stance towards Azerbaijan in recent time.
