“A peace treaty between the two countries based on the mutual recognition of territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the renunciation of territorial claims, should be signed soon,” Azerbaijan's ambassador to Germany, Nasimi Aghayev, said in an interview with PHOENIX, a well-known German state TV channel, XQ informs.

Aghayev said that Armenians in Karabakh are considered citizens of Azerbaijan, and all conditions are created for their reintegration into all areas of life in Azerbaijan, and continue living in the region. Their safety and all rights and freedoms are ensured.

The ambassador also touched upon the issue of normalization of relations with Armenia and expressed the need to sign a peace agreement between the two countries based on mutual recognition of territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as renunciation of territorial claims soon.

Aghayev also criticized the biased approach towards Azerbaijan by a number of media outlets, experts and politicians: "Armenia, which has committed countless crimes against the people of Azerbaijan, has not only been subject to sanctions for 30 years, but has not been pressured to end these crimes.”
