“I think the Khojaly genocide should be discussed all over the world,” said Fabiana Ceyhan, journalist, President of the Brazilian Association of Journalists of International Area, as she shared her impressions as one of the first journalists to visit Karabakh after the 44-day war.
“I think Khojaly was a tragedy that should call more attention of every country because there were many people that were killed, 613 people, including so many children, slaughtered, and there was a civilian place,” she noted.
“It's a very sad story. I learned about this when I was in Azerbaijan. I was one of the first four journalists to visit Karabakh all over the world. There were mining there. So it really touched me. During the visit to Karabakh and Shusa, I noticed that this is a human case and that all the world should care about, not only here in US, also in South America. It should be recognized by many more countries,” the Brazilian journalist emphasized.
