Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry, is on a working visit to Beijing to participate in the 12th Xiangshan Forum at the invitation of Admiral Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense of the People’s Republic of China, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported.

On September 18, Minister Hasanov attended the official opening ceremony of the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, convened under the theme “Upholding International Order and Promoting Peaceful Development.”

During the forum, Colonel General Hasanov met with his Chinese counterpart, Admiral Dong Jun. The meeting focused on the current status and future prospects of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and China, with a detailed exchange of views on a range of issues of mutual interest.

The forum, which continues until September 19, brings together heads of defense agencies from over 100 countries, alongside representatives of international organizations, research institutions, senior military officials, and leading experts in military and security affairs.
