In accordance with 2026 training plan, the opening ceremony of the kettlebell lifting championship was held in the Azerbaijan Army, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
First, at the championship held at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, the blessed memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, was honored with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
After checking the composition of the teams participating in the championship, the weight categories of the participants were determined. The objective of the competition and safety rules were explained to the servicemen.
8 teams with a total of 48 servicemen will compete in 6 weight categories during the championship, which will last until January 17.
