President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order establishing the Nakhchivan Industrial Park in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The park is designed to provide modern infrastructure and management systems to support entrepreneurial activities, foster competitive production through advanced technologies, and facilitate the development of businesses.
The Economic Zones Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy will oversee the park’s operation, management, and development. An initial allocation of 500,000 AZN from the President’s reserve fund in the 2024 state budget has been earmarked for planning and preparing the park’s infrastructure.
Additionally, the Nakhchivan Cabinet of Ministers has been directed to allocate 310 hectares of agricultural land in the southwestern part of Nakhchivan city, near the Nakhchivan-Sadarak highway, for the park’s permanent use. This land will be leased to the agency, ensuring the park’s operation and supporting entrepreneurial initiatives.
