Azerbaijan represented at Rabat International Book Fair

An Azerbaijani delegation is attending the 29th Rabat International Book Fair in the Kingdom of Morocco.

Organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture, with the support of Azerbaijani Embassy in the Kingdom of Morocco, the national stand displays books highlighting the country’s culture, history, geography and literature.

The visitors of the exhibition are provided detailed information about the history, culture, book art of Azerbaijan, as well as election of Shusha as the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World for 2024.

This year’s Fair, organized under the auspices of the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, will see the participation of 743 exhibitors from 48 countries with more than 100,000 book titles on different topics and 241 activities covering several topics related to unveiling heritage, foresighting the future, diverse Africa and media and technology.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco Mohammad Mehdi Bensaid, diplomatic representatives of a number of countries, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco Nazim Samadov, as well as local media representatives.

Minister Mohammad Mehdi Bensaid visited Azerbaijan's national stand as he was informed about the country’s culture, history, the cultural capital city of Shusha, as well as books related to Karabakh.

The exhibition will run until May 19.
