The Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum and the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the sidelines of the “Carpet as a Symbol of the Turkic World” international conference.
The signing ceremony was held at the National Carpet Museum of Azerbaijan as part of the "2nd Meeting of Museums of the Turkic World".
The memorandum was inked by the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum Director, Chairman of ICOM Azerbaijan National Committee President Shirin Malikova and Director of the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan Jannat Ismailova.
The document, which aims to study and protect cultural heritage, develop scientific exchange and cooperation, implement joint exhibition projects, as well as hold academic symposia and seminars, is an important contribution to the development of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan cultural relations.
