Speaker Sahiba Gafarova familiarizes with Azerbaijani Language and Culture Centre in Bulgaria

The Chair of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, who is on an official visit to Bulgaria, has been familiarised in great detail with the work of the Azerbaijani Language and Culture Centre under the auspices of the Sofia University today, XQ informs, citing the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis.

The leader of the Azerbaijani legislature granted to the Centre the books the Milli Majlis had published in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani people’s National Leader, author of the modern Azerbaijani State, outstanding politician and statesman Heydar Aliyev. In turn, Gafarova told the staff of the Centre and the others present at the meeting of the Great Leader’s incomparable services to the Azerbaijani people and statehood.

Besides, Sahiba Gafarova donated to the Centre the book “Garabagh Before and After the Occupation.” She told of the sackings and atrocities in our towns and provinces Azerbaijan throughout the three decades of Armenian occupation.

Next, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis talked to the Bulgarian students who are studying the Azerbaijani language and left a note in the Centre’s commemorative book.
