A delegation of Azerbaijan led by Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, attended the 36th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs titled “Professions in Islam: Their Ethics, Impact, and Future in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” on January 19-20, in Cairo, Egypt.

The conference addressed the development of unified strategies to counter extremist ideologies, the role of religious tolerance in fostering social stability, and the use of digital tools in contemporary propaganda.

The main goal of the event was to explore ways to integrate artificial intelligence with Islamic values.

Addressing the event, Ramin Mammadov highlighted the meeting with President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, underscoring that Azerbaijan and Egypt share deep-rooted historical, cultural, and religious ties.

He also briefed the participants about Azerbaijan’s tolerance environment and multiculturalism model, describing the restoration of mosques, churches, and synagogues, as well as the construction of new temples across the country under the supervision of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as a bright example of tolerance and interfaith harmony.
