Earthquake hits Shamakhi district
A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi district on Sunday, 12 kilometers south of the Pirgulu station, the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences told AZƏRTAC-ın.
The quake occurred at a depth of 9 km and was recorded at 07:56 local time.
Tremors reached 4 magnitude at the epicenter, while between 3 and 4 in the surrounding settlements.
