A special meeting on the transition to 12-year school education was held with the participation of President Sadyr Zhaparov, experts and heads of the Ministry of Education and Science, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Kamchybek Tashiev wrote about this on social networks. He said that following the meeting, President Sadyr Zhaparov decided to implement the transition in stages, taking into account all the risks, according to Kabar.

"We held a broad discussion and exchange of opinions. The President also drew attention to this issue, expressing his concern and deciding to implement the educational reform in stages, taking into account all the risks. Instead of initially implementing the reform, it should be implemented gradually, using the shortcomings and supplementing the missing elements," Tashiev wrote.

In his opinion, 12-year school education provides many opportunities. "12-year school education is not just an additional year of study, but an opportunity to improve the quality of children's knowledge, expand specialized training, improve the qualifications of teachers, adapt school programs to global standards, eliminate repetitive subjects in universities and direct the education system to the future of the country. This is why we decided to move forward," added Tashiev.
