Azerbaijan represented at annual meeting of Black Sea Trade & Development Bank

Azerbaijan is participating in the 26th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), which is underway in Istanbul, Türkiye, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Finance Ministry.

Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, a member of the Bank's Board of Governors, is representing Azerbaijan at the meeting. The Board of Governors will discuss and make relevant decisions on the Bank's medium-term strategy, the business plan for 2025-2026, the current loan portfolio and funding sources, as well as the further expansion of opportunities in banking and business among member countries.

Black Sea Trade and Development Bank is an international intergovernmental financial institution headquartered in Thessaloniki, Greece. It was established by the member states of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, including Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Türkiye, Greece, and Ukraine.

BSTDB supports economic development and regional cooperation by providing loans for public and private sector projects, opening credit lines, offering investments and guarantees, and financing trade.
