Azerbaijani economy grows by nearly 5%

In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan produced a gross domestic product (GDP) of 92,829,500,000 manats (roughly $54.6 billion), which is 4.7% more compared to the same period last year, Report informs.

According to the State Statistical Committee, over the past year, the added value in the oil and gas sector of the economy increased by 0.9%, while in the non-oil and gas sector it increased by 7.1%.

Industry accounted for 37.1% in the GDP production, trade and repair of vehicles for 9.6%, transportation and warehousing for 7%, agriculture, forestry and fishing for 6.4%, construction for 6.3%, tourist accommodation and catering for 2.4%, information and communication for 1.8%, other sectors for 19.2%, and net taxes on products and imports for 10.2%.

During the reporting period, the GDP value per capita was 9,103 manats ($5,354).
