Azerbaijani ambassador discusses bilateral cooperation with Pakistan’s Minister for Privatization

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov held a detailed meeting with Abdul Aleem Khan, Pakistan’s Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment and Communications, to discuss issues related to bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting in Islamabad on Monday, the two dignitaries exchanged views on the business forum to be held this month in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Khazar Farhadov welcomed Pakistani Minister of Investment Board Abdul Aleem Khan’s participation in the business forum and said that Azerbaijan could invest in sectors such as LNG gas, urea, electrical, and others for Pakistan. He emphasized that the private sector in Azerbaijan would be involved in these investment opportunities.

Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan could invest in food security, information technology, health, agriculture, manpower, and other sectors. He lauded the organization of the business forum in Baku on September 16 to promote business activities between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

The minister also noted that Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan could play a significant role in the development of the region, emphasizing the need for all three countries to implement an agenda of mutual investment and cooperation.

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan was apprised that Pakistan’s Federal Ministers, Abdul Aleem Khan and Jam Kamal Khan, will visit Baku on September 16 to lead the Pakistani delegation at the business forum.
