The Entrepreneurship Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy granted more than 50 million manats ($29.41 million) in concessional loans to more than 800 investment projects related to the development of women's entrepreneurship from 2020 till the first quarter of 2024, and more than 1,000 new jobs were created, Deputy Minister of Economy, Sahib Mammdov, said at the 4th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Dialogue themed “Consultations with interested parties on the 4th Voluntary National Report of Azerbaijan, expansion of women's economic rights and opportunities, and progress on the 5th SDG," Report informs.

He said that the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) is taking appropriate measures to promote the development of women's entrepreneurship and further increase the number of women among small and medium entrepreneurs: "Informing women about entrepreneurship, innovations in this field, support mechanisms, their educational events, trainings, seminars, and round tables are regularly organized for the study of ideas and proposals.
