The reservoir in the village of Zabukh, Lachin district is expected to be put into operation by the middle of this year, Chairman of the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan Zaur Mikayilov said at the opening ceremony of the Baku Water Week International Conference.
"About 20 canals are planned to be restored in Azerbaijan. Currently, restoration work is ongoing on six of them, they will begin soon on two, and preparatory work is underway on another 12," he noted.
Mikayilov added that a feasibility study of other reservoirs is being carried out in parallel.
