Türkiye, Turkmenistan to improve efficiency of transit routes across Caspian, Black seas

Turkmenistan and Türkiye agreed to improve the efficiency of transport corridors in the Caspian and Black Seas, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov said during the Turkmen-Turkish business forum held in Ankara, XQ informs via TDH.

“We exchanged views on how gas and energy from Turkmenistan can be transported to Türkiye through the Caspian Sea. Improved cooperation in this transit area will play a significant role in improving trade relations between the two countries. The efficiency of the current transport corridor, in particular the Caspian and Caspian-Black Sea, can be improved. New directions can be created in accordance with mutual interests. We talked and reached an agreement to take appropriate steps in this direction,” he said at a press conference in Ankara after talks with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.

On Thursday, Berdimuhamedov also invited Turkish partners to cooperate in the energy sector.
