Mikayil Jabbarov: Over 340,000 labor contracts concluded in non-oil and gas private sector

More than 340,000 new labor contracts were concluded in the non-oil and gas private sector thanks to salary reforms aimed at "whitening" the labor market, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov said at the conference "20 Years of Unparalleled Services to Motherland, People and Statehood" taking place in Baku, Report informs.

 

The minister noted that as a result of radical reforms in the tax system in recent years, the level of transparency in the economy has increased, and as a result, in 2022 - for the first time in history, the state budget received 15.5 billion manats ($9.1 billion) in taxes: "The share of the private sector in the tax revenues of the non-oil and gas sector exceeded 74%. The share of the non-oil and gas private sector in total labor contracts reaches 50%."
