Cyberattacks on Azerbaijani state bodies rise by 42%

The Special Communication and Information Security State Service of Azerbaijan identified 262 cyberattacks (indicators of compromise -IOCs) against state bodies in the country during the first two months of 2025, 42% higher year-on-year, Report informs.

As many as 92 cyber threats were identified and blocked based on internal investigation, and 170 based on investigation of incidents announced by government agencies.

In February alone, 120 cyberattacks were identified, which is 38% more compared to a year ago.

Over the course of two months, 95.895 million malicious links were blocked on the AzStateNet network, more than 1.099 million malicious electronic documents were blocked through the central antivirus system installed on end users, while 26,917 malicious electronic documents were blocked through the Sandbox protection system.
