In August of this year, Azerbaijan ranked 104th among 161 countries in fixed broadband internet speed (45.47 Mbps). The average download speed increased by 58.4%, Report informs referring to the Speedtest Global Index.
Azerbaijan moved up five positions compared to July. The United Arab Emirates took first place in fixed broadband internet speed (297.62 Mbps), while Turkmenistan ranked last (3.53 Mbps).
In August, Azerbaijan ranked 45th among 111 countries in mobile internet speed (55.14 Mbps), maintaining its position compared to July. For mobile internet speed, the UAE ranked first (398.51 Mbps), while Yemen ranked last (7.91 Mbps). In the reporting month, Baku moved up three positions among 205 cities in fixed broadband internet speed and ranked 131st (47.01 Mbps). Valparaiso tops the ranking of cities with fixed broadband internet access at a speed of 326.39 Mbps, while Aleppo (Halab) is at the bottom of the list (1.86 Mbps).
In July, Baku ranked 69th among 161 cities in mobile internet speed (72.36 Mbps). Among cities, Al Rayyan ranked first in mobile internet speed (438.23 Mbps), while Kabul ranked last (8.32 Mbps).
