"Hexagon: New Technologies and Digitization" conference was held on July 3, 2024 at the "Landmark" Hotel in Baku. Conference was jointly organized by the leading systems integrator in Azerbaijan "AZEL Systems" company (Azerbaijan) and the world's leading software developer for engineering solutions that help in the design, construction and operation of factories, ships, and offshore platforms, "Hexagon" company (US-Swedish holding).
Opening the event Igor Yakovenko, General Director of “AZEL Systems” informed the participants about the recent achievements. He stated that the most important among these achievements is the successful implementation of the SDx (Engineering Document Management System) software produced by "Hexagon" at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (HAOR).
Addressing the event, Regional Manager of “Hexagon” Shamil Fayzrakhmanov noted that "AZEL Systems" has been the only partner of "Hexagon" in Azerbaijan for more than 10 years. He noted that on June 1, 2024, "AZEL Systems"; and "Hexagon" signed a new strategic partnership agreement. Within the framework of this agreement both companies will join their advanced technologies and expertise to provide even more innovative solutions to their customers.
At the end of his speech, Mr. Fayzrakhmanov briefly informed the participants about the advantages of "Hexagon" solutions such as EAM, PAS, J5 which help the customers in managing assets, reducing risks and increasing operational efficiency.
Technical experts from different departments of "Hexagon" also spoke at the conference:
- Technical specialist Edgar Blajec demonstrated how clients can develop their asset management strategy with Hexagon's EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) solutions.
- Technical expert Kyle Pearce demonstrated how customers can reduce their operational risk by using Hexagon's PAS and J5 solutions, while at the same time increasing their operational efficiency.
- Technical specialist Tobias Heisig demonstrated the benefits that customers can get through the use of Hexagon EcoSys solution which leads to more efficient execution of projects
Their presentations were well received and the representatives from organizations such as SOCAR, BP, SOCAR Carbamide, SOCAR Polymer, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other guests expressed hope that similar events can be held every year.
At the end of the conference a panel discussion was held with the participation of Igor Yakovenko, Shamil Fayzrakhmanov and other guests.
