Benfica, Barcelona set to face each other in eagerly anticipated Champions League clash

Benfica will host Barcelona on Tuesday in a highly anticipated UEFA Champions League match, with the Spanish giants performing strongly in their domestic league, according to Anadolu Agency.

Barcelona have suffered just one defeat in the revamped league phase. They have amassed 15 points and comfortably hold second place, boasting a perfect record of five consecutive wins.

In contrast, Benfica are 15th in the league, having collected just 10 points from their last five matches, which include one win, two losses, and two draws.

The Portuguese side faced two defeats and three victories as of matchday seven.

The matchday seven league phase encounter will take place at 2000GMT, Estadio do SL Benfica. Dutch referee Danny Makkelie is set to officiate.

The seven-week matches of European football's top club competition, organized in a 36-team league format this season, are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
