Junior Azerbaijani judokas Suleyman Shukurov and Vusal Galandarzade excelled at the European Championship, held in Tallinn, Estonia, claiming gold medals for Azerbaijan.
In the decisive round, Suleyman Shukurov notched victory against Georgian Aleksandre Lomadze in the men’s 81kg final, while Vusal Galandarzade edged out Bulgarian Dimitar Gospodinov in the 73kg finals, to secure the titles of the championship.
Earlier, female judokas Konul Aliyeva (48kg) and Fidan Alizade (57kg) achieved a remarkable feat by winning European golds, while Nizami Imranov (60kg) clinched the silver medal of the competition.
