Vladimir Zelensky has expressed regret over the incident that happened during his meeting with US President Donald Trump on February 28, but again failed to present apologies, TASS reported.

"Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right," he wrote on his page in the social media X.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine would like further cooperation and communication to be constructive.

"Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format," he added.

On February 28, Vladimir Zelensky arrived at the White House. While addressing questions from the press ahead of their talks, tensions flared between Trump and Zelensky, resulting in an emotional verbal exchange. As a result, the signing of a mineral agreement between Ukraine and the U.S., along with a press conference that was to follow the discussions, did not occur.
