Armenia has not taken legal action to suspend its membership in the CSTO, Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vasilenko told journalists on the sidelines of the Senate, Report informs referring to Kazakh media.
“I have no information that Armenia has suspended or is suspending its membership. Armenia has not taken any legal actions to suspend its membership in the CSTO,” he noted.
He said that currently the representative of Kazakhstan is the secretary general of the organization, and the country is trying to strengthen the CSTO, since it is very important for the security of the state.
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, during parliamentary hour, announced that the country would legally freeze its membership in the CSTO if the organization does not fulfill its obligations.
