Tourism between Morocco and Azerbaijan continues to grow steadily year after year. According to the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency, the number of Moroccan visitors to Azerbaijan increased by 54% in the first five months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, reaching nearly 1,500 arrivals.

AZERTAC’s correspondent in Rabat reports that Moroccan citizens frequently express a strong desire to visit the Republic of Azerbaijan to experience its historical and architectural landmarks, as well as to explore its rich cultural and human heritage. These shared elements form a natural bond between Azerbaijan and Morocco, reflected in commonalities across religion, culture, art, traditional attire, and cuisine - each known for its depth, flavors, and diversity.

Over the past three decades, Moroccan-Azerbaijani relations have significantly strengthened, driven by the political will and high-level leadership of both countries. This momentum has enabled the implementation of numerous diplomatic initiatives and cooperation programs, laying the groundwork for meaningful and strategic partnerships across sectors including economy, trade, tourism, science, and culture.

The continuous efforts of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Morocco have played a key role in promoting Azerbaijan and fostering mutual understanding. These cultural and outreach activities bring Azerbaijan closer to Moroccan citizens, many of whom view tourism as a means to deepen knowledge and strengthen ties with a brotherly nation.
