The Eurasian Mountain Tourism Forum is underway at the Shahdag Mountain Resort under the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The event themed "Prospects and Opportunities of Mountain Tourism in Eurasia" was organized by the Eurasian Mountain Resorts Alliance and the Shahdag Mountain Resort.
The forum is attended by agency officials and nearly 150 tourism representatives from mountain resorts of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and South Korea, which are members of the Alliance, as well as from Belarus, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan.
The forum opened with a parade of ski instructors from alliance member states, accompanied by their national music.
The forum, which will continue until March 6, will discuss the Alliance's action plan for 2025-2026, development of mountain tourism and creation of tourism routes, organization of safety at resorts, expansion of cooperation between the alliance countries, creation of unified standards in the organization's development, organization of state support in winter tourism development, as well as issues and projects related to increasing cooperation with Central Asian countries.
Within the framework of the forum, a skiing competition and national cuisine festival will be organized among representatives of the alliance countries.
