Azerbaijan's population has grown by 23,477, or 0.20%, since the beginning of 2024, reaching 10,204,247 as of August, according to the State Statistical Committee.
Official data indicates that 54.5% of the population resides in urban areas, while 45.5% live in rural regions. The gender distribution shows that 49.8% of the population are men and 50.2% are women.
