Global Baku Forum to welcome renowned COP experts

Azerbaijan’s capital Baku is set to host the 11th edition of the Global Baku Forum themed “Fixing The Fractured World” organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) from March 14 to 16.

 

The Forum will bring together over 300 participants from 70 countries, including more than 80 heads of government to engage in global discussions regarding the outcomes of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) and the preparations for the upcoming COP29 Conference.

 

A host of the renowned COP experts and officials are expected to attend the event, including COP26 President Sir Alok Kumar Sharma, COP21 Vice-President Hakima El Hatie, COP20 President Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, members of the COP28 Advisory Committee Olafur Grimsson, María Fernanda Espinosa, Francesco La Camera, former President of Finland Tarja Halonen, NGIC Co-Chairperson, former Vice-President of the World Bank Ismail Serageldin, Executive Managing Director of the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Ismahane Elouafi, and Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Najat Mokhtar.
