Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Media Development Agency Ahmad Ismayilov has met with the Chairman of the Turkish Internet Media Union Suleyman Basa and its Deputy Chairman, Head of the Turkic World Federation of Journalists Menderes Demir.

Ahmad Ismayilov emphasized the essence of the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan`s media, the goals of the Law "On Media", strengthening of economic independence of media outlets. He provided the detailed information about the multifaceted and complex measures to strengthen independence, increase professionalism and responsibility of journalists and the media literacy of society. Ahmad Ismayilov stressed the importance of raising the world community’s awareness of Azerbaijan`s realities as part of the Turkish-Azerbaijani media platform.

Suleyman Basa provided insight into activities of the organization, touched upon effective and mutually beneficial cooperation to realize the upcoming joint projects.

The sides also exchanged views on the strengthening of cooperation between the Turkic states in the field of media.
