On April 18, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan–Turkmenistan relations. The importance of the continuity of political dialogue and further strengthening of partnership based on brotherhood, friendship, mutual respect, and trust was emphasized.
The ministers noted the significance of implementing joint projects, expanding transport and transit opportunities, as well as developing logistics connections.
The parties also exchanged views on regional and international security issues.
They also discussed cooperation and mutual support within international organizations.
