The delegation of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan has departed for Tirana to observe Albania’s parliamentary elections, scheduled for May 11, 2025, the CEC told Report.

At the invitation of the Albanian CEC, Rovzat Gasimov, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani CEC, and Ramin Nuraliyev, Head of the Secretariat Department, will take part in the observation process.

As part of the visit, representatives of the Azerbaijani Central Election Commission plan to meet with the leadership of Albania’s Central Election Commission and other officials.

Discussions are expected to focus on deepening relations between the two supreme electoral bodies, exploring opportunities for exchange of experience across various election-related areas.

The delegation will not only familiarize themselves with the general preparation processes for the parliamentary elections until the voting day, but will also observe the voting procedures at polling stations on election day.

In addition to reviewing Albania’s general election preparations leading up to voting day, the delegation will observe the voting procedures at polling stations on election day.
