A joint meeting of the Economic Council and the Supervisory Board of the Azerbaijan Investment Holding was chaired by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
The agenda covered discussions on the current situation, key indicators, and prospects in the country's oil and gas sector. Topics included the long-term development plans of SOCAR and the oil and gas industry, production forecasts through 2035, reserve volumes in developed and new fields under Production Sharing and Risk Service agreements, and the activities of the production association “Azneft.” The status of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery Reconstruction and Modernization Project, the production of petrochemical products, domestic fuel demand, and SOCAR’s international projects were also addressed, along with the financial indicators of SOCAR.
SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf presented a report on the agenda's topics. Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, who also serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SOCAR, and Ruslan Alikhanov, CEO of Azerbaijan Investment Holding, delivered speeches.
Members of the Economic Council held extensive discussions on the presented issues. In conclusion, the meeting participants adopted decisions on the discussed topics and issued instructions to the Board of the Azerbaijan Investment Holding and SOCAR.
