Some of the terror crimes committed by the Armenian state against the population of Azerbaijan have been revealed, Assistant Prosecutor General for Special Assignments Tugay Rahimli said at the court hearing on the case of persons of Armenian origin accused of war crimes against Azerbaijan, Report informs.
It was noted that during the aggressive war, a criminal community operating under the direct control and in accordance with orders, directives, and instructions from the Armenian state, during large-scale and systematic attacks carried out to facilitate Armenia's occupation of these territories by organizing mass expulsion of Azerbaijanis from their legal places of residence in the villages of Baganis-Ayrim in Gazakh district, Malibayli-Gushchular in Shusha district, Garadaghli in Khojavand district, Bash Guney (Bash Guneypaya) in Aghdara district, Balligaya and Gulustan in Goranboy district, Aghdaban, Jomard and Bashlibel in Kalbajar district, deliberately killed a total of 241 people by shooting, burning alive and inflicting severe bodily injuries, and attempted to murder 149 people by inflicting various degrees of bodily injuries.
Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Vusal Aliyev noted that as a result of terror crimes committed in 308 episodes from 1988 to 2023, at least 449 people were deliberately killed, including 210 military personnel and 239 civilians, and attempted murders were committed against 1,729 people, of whom 1,013 were military personnel and 716 civilians.
