A monument to Heydar Aliyev, National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, was unveiled in the city of Kogalym, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District of Russia.
The monument, authored by sculptor Aydin Zeynalov, was erected in honor of the 100th anniversary of the National Leader.
"The construction of the monument to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev took about one and a half years. During the construction process, I have carefully studied the photos of Heydar Aliyev taken in different years,” Aydin Zeynalov told AZERTAC correspondent.
