Azerbaijan held presidential and parliamentary elections after successfully restoring its territorial integrity, said Ramaz Nikolaishvili, a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (PABSEC) from Georgia, Report informs.

Nikolaishvili expressed his pleasure for the opportunity to participate as an international observer in the parliamentary elections.

"On behalf of the Republic of Georgia, I thank you for having me here. These parliamentary elections differ from others because Azerbaijan has ensured its territorial integrity, and after years, parliamentary elections were held throughout Azerbaijan," Nikolaishvili stated.

He emphasized that Azerbaijan should take pride in its victory, adding, "Azerbaijan and Georgia are friendly and brotherly nations. We should not forget the determination of President Ilham Aliyev in this matter. I envy the people of Azerbaijan for having such a leader."

Nikolaishvili further noted that the people of Azerbaijan demonstrated high activity in these elections. "After restoring its territorial integrity, Azerbaijan held both presidential and parliamentary elections. Regarding the overall background of the elections, we conducted observations from morning to evening. Every citizen of Azerbaijan was provided with the right to vote, and they exercised these rights," he said.

He also mentioned that efforts are being made to develop inter-parliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
