Azerbaijani FM: Delimitation agreement with Armenia positively affects normalization process

The new delimitation agreement reached with Armenia and the return of four villages to Azerbaijan had a positive effect on the normalization process between the two countries, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, told a joint press conference with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Report informs.

He once again reiterated that Azerbaijan is committed to the peace process:

“We hope this will have positive results for a prosperous and secure region. Today, I informed my colleague Ishaq Dar about the post-conflict situation in our region. I gave information about the restoration and reconstruction works carried out by Azerbaijan in the liberated territories, as well as the long-lasting threat of landmines. The landmine problem complicates the efforts. However, the recently reached agreement on the delimitation of a certain part of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the return of four villages, occupied by Armenia for a long time, to Azerbaijan has a positive effect on the normalization process.”
