Modern geopolitical realities increase the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route) in terms of cargo transportation between Asia and Europe, Samir Mammadov, the Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, said at the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Romania Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade, Economic Relations, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, which was held in Baku, Report informs.

“One of the main advantages of the Middle Corridor is that the countries located along this corridor have friendly relations and close cooperation. Together with partner countries, we are making efforts to expand the corridor, and we are also working on identifying “bottlenecks” to solve these problems,” Mammadov said.
