The Breakout Session on “Shaping Public Opinion: Digital Islamophobia” has been held on the sidelines of the international scientific conference themed “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024” held in Baku.

The session was moderated by Sami Zeidan, Senior Presenter of Al Jazeera English.

Professor at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands Seyfeddin Kara, Professor of English Literature, Brooklyn College, City University of New York Prof. Moustafa Mohamed Bayoumi, Manager of Content Strategy at the Al Jazeera Media Network’s Digital Division Jamaluddin Mohammad Farid Elshayyal, Deputy Chairman of ‘Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting’ CJSC Rufat Hamzayev, Associate Professor of Communication, University of Maryland Sahar Mohamed Khamis and Professor at the Department of Communication Studies of California State University, San Bernardino; Coordinator, CSUSB Graduate Program in Communication Studies Ahlam Hatem Almuhtaseb addressed the session.
