On March 6, a delegation led by Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Türkiye, Army General Metin Gürak, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC. The Azerbaijani delegation is on an official visit to Türkiye.
The meeting highlighted that Azerbaijani-Turkish relations are based on friendship and mutual trust and that bilateral cooperation is one of the main factors ensuring stability in the region.
The sides also discussed the prospects for military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.
